Recommended by Dr. Dray – Top 10 Products from CeraVe
CeraVe is probably not the most exciting skin care brand when it comes to their simple blue and white packaging, but if you are somebody who is more about what is inside the boring bottles, you will love the products offered by this brand.
Dr. Dray did not disappoint us CeraVe shippers, here is a list of top 10 CeraVe products according to famous dermatologist, Dr. Dray.

Let’s get right into it.
Dr. Dray’s Favorite CeraVe Skincare Products
1. CeraVe Moisturizing Cream: $16.08
This is fantastic for all skin types, oily skin, dry skin, sensitive skin? This cream has you covered. This can be used on your face and/or body. Also suitable for people using drying topical medications like tretinoin and Benzoyl Peroxide. This does not feel greasy or heavy but provides a good moisture barrier for your skin. In Dr. Dray’s own words, this product is a golden child and she highly recommends it in many of her videos.
2. CeraVe SA Lotion for Rough and Bumpy Skin: $20.97
This lotion includes salicylic and lactic acid to help soften and exfoliate dry, rough, built up bumpy skin. This lotion can be used on your face as well, especially for oily, acne prone skin with large pores. This product stings a little bit on areas with eczema or raw red patches because of the salicylic acid.
3. CeraVe Renewing SA Foot Cream: $19.90
This product is a fantastic foot cream, it has salicylic acid that helps exfoliate the dry callus. This should not be used on the face because the skin on the feet is a lot thicker and this product is targeted towards that.
4. CeraVe Itch Relief Cream: $31.46
Dealing with the pesky, never ending itch? This product will help you find relief for that. It is great for anybody who has the itch. It imparts moisture into the skin and helps silence the itching signals and helps calm down the skin by silencing the itchy nerves. The cream is rich and moisturizing, especially for anybody with eczema. This product does not contain steroids in it, which is why it is a safer alternative to other itch creams that do contain steroids. Dr. Dray recommends placing this cream in the refrigerator for better results. It can also be used on the face for facial relief.
5. CeraVe Healing Ointment
This ointment seals in hydration and reduces trans epidermal water loss. Unlike Vaseline this product has hyaluronic acid in it, which is a humectant, simply put, this helps bringing hydration up out of the deeper layers of the skin. This also protects the skin and helps with the skin barrier repair. This product can be used on the face, around the eyes, lips, or any area that feels dry or scaly, or any area that suffers from skin-on-skin friction.
6. CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream: $16.99
This product has an ingredient that helps facilitate skin barrier repair by adding hydration to the skin. The niacinamide in it is anti-inflammatory, this product is a highly recommended night cream by dermatologist Dr. Dray. People with mature skin especially enjoy this for its skin renewing tendencies.
7. CeraVe Skin Renewing Gel Oil: $22.92
This little enigma has sunflower seed oil that acts as an emollient. It feels like a lightweight serum that creates a nice barrier to water loss. It is particularly good if you are going through the peeling stages when starting a retinol or prescription retinoid. It is safe to use around the eyes. People do complain about the pump, which does not pump as perfectly as it should, but other than that this product is a favorite. Dr. Dray recommends traveling with it, good to use on the plane!
8. CeraVe Hydrating Sunscreen: $13.97
This is a mineral tinted sunscreen; the tint will not be suitable for every complexion so it would be nice to choose wisely. This sunscreen is not greasy, it is a moisturizing formula, CeraVe nailed it with this product. This shade will work for people with medium skin tones. It is not water resistant, so probably not the best for outside sports, but this is great as an every day sunscreen moisturizer.
9. CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol Serum: $20.98
Retinol is fantastic for the skin; I have a post about the best retinols for the skin. Check it out here. This product can help improving the look of wrinkles and fine lines, hyperpigmentation. It reduced redness, soothes the skin barrier, it is moisturizing, and helps reduce acne and post acne marks or redness. This is a great anti-aging product as well. It is a winner!
10. CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser Bar: $16.19
This is a soap-free bar soap, which according to Dr. Dray is the best bar cleanser in the market today! Yes, a bold statement, but if dermatologist Dr. Dray thinks this is the best, we believe it IS the best.
This product puts the moisture back into your skin as you cleanse. It is not harsh, not stripping. It can be used on the face, body, bar soaps are better for the environment and work just as well as liquid soaps.
Wrapping Up
CeraVe is one of my personal favorite skin care brands as well, and Dr. Dray got me hooked onto the CeraVe AM Moisturizer. Though this product did not make the top 10 list, it was mentioned in the video and I personally love it. This product got me using moisturizers for the first time in my life and I always have a backup now. It is non-greasy and has SPF. They also have a PM version to be used at night.
